Hot 97's DJ Cipha Sounds Suspended Indefinitely

New York's Hot 97 radio station has suspended morning show host DJ Cipha Sounds indefinitely.

The suspension comes on the heels of a protest in front of the radio station calling for the jock's termination. Protesters included Haitian groups like BelTiFi, the Haitian American Caucus and the Haitian Roundtable.

As previously reported, Cipha made racist remarks toward Haitians during his morning broadcast with Peter Rosenberg and K. Fox last Friday on December 17th. Cipha stated, "The reason I'm H.I.V. negative is 'cause I don't mess with Haitian girls."

He later apologized and said he always reps for Haitians and West Indian people. "I wanna say sincerely that I apologize for even saying this thing."

Rolling Stone’s review of Kanye’s album said that his project was filled with "music as sprawlingly messy as his life" and that songs on the project are "hip-hop epics...full of the kind of grandiose gestures that only the foolish attempt and only the wildly talented pull off."

Drake's "Thank Me Later" took the #6 spot and Eminem's "Recovery" took the #9 spot helping round out the top 10.
