Walmart Will Carry Kanye West's New Album

Wal-Mart executives have finally issued a statement surrounding a controversial tweet by rapper Kanye West. Kanye claimed Walmart banned his highly anticipated new album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy".

Kanye tweeted his album was banned because the artwork was too racy to be carried on the stores' shelves. What do you think? It's pretty raunchy (my opinion).

Walmart claims that Kanye never showed them the artwork, but they are still excited to carry the upcoming album.

"We're excited about Kanye West's new album and we look forward to carrying it in our stores on November 22nd," Wal-Mart said in a statement. "As always, it's our standard practice to carry the edited parental advisory version. We did not reject the cover artwork and it was never presented to us to view."

Kanye West's album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" is due in stores on November 22nd.

AXE Drops Rapper T.I.

Rap star T.I. has officially been dropped as a spokesman for AXE body spray, just days after he was sentenced to 11 months in prison for violating the terms of his federal probation.

TMZ.com reports that AXE states they will "no longer feature T.I. in our promotional campaign" and has already removed the Grammy Award winning rapper from their official website.

A federal judge sentenced T.I. to 11 months in prison on Friday, October 15th, after he and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were found to be in possession of ecstasy after a traffic stop on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles on September 1st.

On October 18th, T.I. appeared on Ryan Cameron's V103 radio show, where he discussed his pending jail sentence. The rap star vowed to never return to prison after his latest, upcoming stint in federal prison.

"I'm gonna take it a day at a time," T.I. explained. "I got a little while to plan. One thing I'm not gonna do is, I'm not gonna talk and make a whole lot of promises and do this or do that. I'm gonna speak more through my music and my actions. And I'm gonna let God lead me wherever that may be."

Rapper T.I. Sentenced to 11 Months In Prison

T.I. is heading back to prison, after a federal judge revoked the rapper's probation and sentenced the rap star to 11 months in prison for possessing drugs in September in Los Angeles.

T.I. appeared in court on Friday October 15, 2010 for a hearing that started at 2:00PM, with his team of lawyers that included Ed Garland, Steve Sadow, Don Samuel, Janice Capek, Kristen Wright and Dwight Thomas.

The courtroom was packed, as he stood before Judge Charles Pannell Jr.

Prosecutors chastised the Grammy Award winning rapper for violating the terms of his federal probation for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers in October 2007 and wanted to send him away for two years.

The rapper's defense attorneys argued that drugs in his system were the result of a root canal and T.I. admitted to using the drugs, after he had dental surgery.

Judge Charles Pannell Jr. sentenced T.I. to the prison sentence, after the Atlanta native and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were caught in Los Angeles on September 1st, in possession of a controlled substance, which was later revealed to be Ecstasy.

Additionally, the rap star tested positive for drugs the following day and was traveling with a convicted felon named Cortez "C-Rod" Thomas, who allegedly helped the rapper set up the purchase of illegal weapons that T.I. was originally arrested for, which further violated the terms of his probation.

The rapper asked the judge to sentence him to rehabilitation for a drug addiction, but he was sentenced to the 11 months in prison, instead.

T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., was released from prison in March 2010, after serving a year in prison for attempting to purchase the machine guns and silencers prior to the BET Awards in October of 2007.

After T.I. was released from prison, he appeared to be on the right path, hitting the studio to record his highly anticipated come back album "King Uncaged", while promoting his #1 box office movie, "Takers".

During an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, T.I. said that he was "tired" and vowed to turn his life around. The rap star also apologized to anyone he may have hurt, or disappointed due to his arrest.

"The only thing that I can say, man, is that all people who have supported me, who were behind me, who believed in me, who were disappointed and were let down, I just offered my sincerest apologies, and I will dedicate my life no matter how long it takes to earn your trust back and to make you proud yet again," T.I. said.

"I'm tired. I'm wore out," the rap star continued. "I don't have the age, the energy or just the attitude to move forward and continuing in this cycle in this ongoing process of destruction and disparity in my life. I've got too many depending on me and counting on me. I can't do it."

According to reports, T.I. will return home and start his sentence shortly.

Roc-A-Fella Co-Founder Kareem 'Biggs' Burke Arrested In Marijuana Ring

Founding Roc-A-Fella Records member Kareem "Biggs" Burke was arrested on October 15th along with 42 other people in a ring that allegedly controlled the marijuana market in New York City.

According to The New York Daily News, Burke has been a part of the ring since 1992. Federal prosecutors claim that Burke was part of a network that was headed up by Geovanny Rodriguez Perez aka "Shorty."

Police accused Shorty's network of growing the pot down south, shipping it up north in tractor trailers and returning the proceeds to South Florida, according to Jim Hayes, a special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations For Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

According to The Associated Press, a federal prosecutor announced that Burke was caught via wiretap discussing "grow houses" with the ring's leader.

Police arrested Burke at his home in North Bergen, N.J. In addition to Burke, an advertising executive for High Times named Matthew Stang was arrested in an 18 month operation, which was dubbed "Operation Green Venom."

The bust came after an 18-month investigation involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the New York Police Department. The city's Department of Investigation and Special Narcotics Prosecutor's office was also involved in the takedown, which resulted in the obtainment of nearly $2 million and more than 360 pounds of marijuana.

"This isn't just a group that controlled one block, one neighborhood," Hayes said. "They dominated the wholesale marijuana market in New York for 20 years."

Burke helped co-found Roc-A-Fella Records in 1996 with Jay-Z and Damon Dash, after the pair had been turned down by several record labels.

They landed a distribution deal with Priority Records and released Jay-Z's classic debut album, Reasonable Doubt.

Kareem "Biggs" Burke and the others face 10 years to life in prison for allegedly distributing over 1,000 kilos of the drug.
