Fugees 'Killing Me Softly' Director Charged With Raping/Fathering Children

“Killing Me Softly” director Aswad Ayinde is being held on a $1 million bond after being charged with raping and fathering children from his own daughters.

Ayinde, aged 51 and also known as Charles McGill, faces 27 charges ranging from child endangerment to aggravated sexual assault.

According to prosecutors, Ayinde’s daughters bore him six children from the mid 80’s through 2002.

Ayinde’s allegedly oversaw each baby’s delivery, with his motivation being to create a “pure” bloodline to survive the world’s apocalypse.

“He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen,” explained ex-wife Beverly Ayinde, who testified in a pre-trial and has 9 children with the accused. “I was afraid to ever accuse him of being demented or being a pedophile. I knew the word, but I wouldn’t dare use it because it would result in a beating."

Aswad Ayinde drew the suspicion of New Jersey’s Division of Youth and Family Services as early as 2000, when the state took temporary custody of his children for beating them with steel-toe boots and wooden boards.

He would later try to forcibly take them from a hospital while they were under state custody. With legal issues mounting, authorities claim Ayinde began moving his family regularly around northern New Jersey in cities such as Paterson and East Orange

An ex-girlfriend named Subhana Rahim told the New York Daily News that she has two children with Ayinde, and lived with him from 2001-2004. She claims the MTV-award winning director referred to his older daughters as his wives, and she first learned about the child abuse in 2002.

“He was this successful artist who had worked with the Fugees,” she stated. “I was shocked when he told me they were his daughters and that he’d been sleeping with them... I didn’t try to understand something so ridiculous.”

An unidentified daughter told reporters outside the Ayinde home that the accusations were true, but declined to elaborate further.

“It’s a painful thing. It’s not something we’re going to talk about outside the family,” she told the NY Daily News. “The truth is coming out now, after a long time. That’s it.”

Teen Arrested For Waka Flocka Concert Shooting; Also Charged With Murder

A 17-year-old from Gary, Indiana faces multiple charges after being arrested in connection with a shooting after a Waka Flocka Flames concert at a local skating rink on March 5th.

He was also hit with murder and attempted murder charges for a separate shooting on January 19th in Miller, Indiana.

In that incident, Hutcherson allegedly shot and killed a 22-year-old and wounded the man’s cousin, after the two men refused to give Hutcherson $5 dollars to attend a rap concert.

Hutcherson then stole money and jewelry from both victims.

Police confiscated a rifle Hutcherson allegedly used in the March 5th shooting after the Waka Flocka Flames concert.

Hutcherson is being held without bail while police investigate the latest shooting and prepare to file more charges related to the incident.

Pants On The Ground's "General Larry Platt" Sued

“General” Larry Platt, the novelty singer/rapper known for the wildly popular song “Pants in the Ground,” has been sued by a distribution company for expenses related to a recording studio.

Attorney Leron Rogers of Hewitt & Rogers filed the suit on behalf of American King Music for “expenses related to producing, writing and recording of Mr. Platt’s official recording of the single.”

“My client, American King Music, who funded Mr. Platt’s recording session with Mims, would like to compensate Mr. Platt for the sales of the full-length hit song “Pants in the Ground” which we made available on iTunes. However, Mr. Platt and his representatives have failed to take care of Mr. Platt’s obligations,” said Rogers who filed the lawsuit in an Atlanta federal court.

Platt performed an acapella version of his song as an ineligible contestant on "American Idol. While he didn’t make it to the next level, he did create a tremendous buzz, as well as controversy.

Platt recorded the official version of “Pants in the Ground” with Mims at Mims’s studio and American King Music funded the session as well as the distribution of the single. American King Music also compensated Mims for his production work and co-writing of the full-length song.

T-Pain & Jay-Z Make Peace

The short-lived feud between Jay-Z and T-Pain has finally been put to rest.

The beef began last year when Jay-Z released the song “D.O.A. (Death Of Auto-Tune)” off "The Blueprint 3" album. T-Pain later insulted Jay during a show in Las Vegas. However, T-Pain, speaking to MTV News, revealed that there is no more animosity between the two of them.

“We talked at the Grammys,” T-Pain said. “It was a pretty big thing. Word for word, he said, ‘That's [messed] up the way you took that song.’ I’m [crazy], so we gonna take the song like that. That’s how we take songs.

“He [Jay-Z] was like, ‘I didn't mean nothing by that,’” T-Pain continued. “I was like, ‘I already put out my apology song [“More Careful”]. So there you go. My bad. I apologize. Apologize for taking the song like that.’ We shook hands, did the little chest bump. That was the end of that.”

Lil Wayne Finally Sentenced to Serve Time in General Population

After two separate sentencing delays, New Orleans rap star Lil Wayne was officially sentenced to prison on March 8th in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Lil Wayne was sentenced to the prison term after the rapper admitted to possessing a loaded .40 caliber handgun that was found on his tour bus after a performance in New York in July of 2007.

The rapper was taken away in handcuffs to begin serving his time on Riker’s Island, a prison that is just emerging from a scandal over preferential treatment of certain inmates and celebrities.

In October of 2009, several prison officials resigned from the prison after it was revealed that Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown and other inmates had been given preferential treatment while serving their time behind bars.

Lil Wayne was originally supposed to be sentenced to prison on February 9th but the date was postponed to March 2nd, because the rapper needed root canals, in addition to having his platinum “grillz” removed.

The March 2nd date was rescheduled to March 8th, after a fire broke out in Manhattan Criminal Court’s basement which sent eight people to the hospital.

Contrary to previous reports, Lil Wayne will not serve his prison sentence for gun charges at Rikers Island in protective custody, but rather under “general population escort” status.

According to the New York Daily News, Correctional Department spokesperson Stephen Morello said that Wayne will have “general population escort” status, meaning that whenever Wayne is out of his housing unit he will be accompanied by a correction captain. This contradicts reports by Wayne’s lawyer, Stacey Richman, that he would be forced into protective custody.

Inside of his housing unit, Wayne will have the option to socialize with the 17 other inmates sharing his cell block.

Lil Wayne could be out in as little as eight months.

"Law is mind without reason. .................I'll return," Lil Wayne tweeted his fans on his Twitter.
